His Excellency Ambassador Mohamed Ben Youssef, Director General of the Africa-Arab Cultural Institute, participated in the 21st Meeting of the Africa- Arab Partnership Coordination Committee at the Senior Officials’ level, held in Cairo on Wednesday, 5 August 2026. The meeting was co-chaired by the Republic of Iraq, Chair of the current Arab Summit, and the Republic of Burundi, Chair of the current African Summit.

The meeting reviewed a number of issues related to strengthening Africa -Arab cooperation, followed up on the recommendations of the Fourth Africa -Arab Summit held in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, in November 2016, and discussed preparations for activities marking the 50th anniversary of the Africa -Arab Partnership.

During the meeting, Ambassador Mohamed Ben Youssef delivered a statement presenting an overview of the current situation of the Africa-Arab Cultural Institute in Bamako. He emphasized the importance of providing sustained political and financial support to enable the Institute to effectively fulfil its mandate and implement its cultural and artistic programmes and projects across Arab and African countries.
