As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cultural ties between the Arab and African worlds, His Excellency Ahmed TURKI A. A. ALSOBAI, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Mali, received on Monday, 4 May 2026, His Excellency Ambassador Mohammed Ben Youssef, Director General of the Africa-Arab Cultural Institute, at the Embassy headquarters in Bamako.
The meeting marked an important opportunity to exchange views on enhancing cultural cooperation. On this occasion, the Director General extended his congratulations to H.E. Ahmed TURKI A. A. ALSOBAI, on the presentation of his credentials to the President of the Transition of the Republic of Mali, wishing him success in his diplomatic mission.
Discussions focused on exploring new avenues of collaboration between the Africa-Arab Cultural Institute and the Ministry of Culture of the State of Qatar, as well as with relevant cultural and artistic institutions, with a view to strengthening cultural exchange and promoting joint initiatives.
Both parties underscored the importance of launching joint programs and projects aimed at fostering intercultural dialogue and strengthening mutual understanding between Arab and African peoples, within a shared vision grounded in respect for cultural diversity and sustainable development.
