His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), received His Excellency Ambassador Mohamed Ben Youssef, Director-General of the Africa-Arab Cultural Institute (AACI), on Thursday, 2 April 2026.
The meeting took place in a spirit of constructive dialogue and mutual commitment to strengthening Afro-Arab cultural cooperation.
Both parties reviewed recent developments in the Arab world, with particular focus on the Gulf region, and discussed their implications for culture, the arts, and education across the Arab region. They underscored the importance of reinforcing cultural dialogue and safeguarding shared heritage in light of evolving regional dynamics.
The two sides also examined forthcoming priorities and key milestones in the framework of institutional cooperation between ALECSO and AACI. They reaffirmed their shared commitment to enhancing joint programmes and expanding partnerships with relevant regional and international organizations active in the fields of culture, arts, and education.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties expressed their satisfaction with the quality of discussions and reiterated their determination to further consolidate cooperation in support of sustainable cultural development and Africa-Arab dialogue.
