Statement by the Director General
It is with great pleasure that I express my profound honour to be appointed as Director General of the Africa-Arab Cultural Institute, this prestigious institution located in Bamako, the capital of the Republic of Mali, in accordance with the vision of Arab and African leaders aimed to achieve integration, solidarity, and sustainable development between the two sides.
We will work with pride and dedication, drawing upon our accumulated experience of over three decades Diplomacy, to contribute to strengthening dialogue and understanding and consolidating the values of intellectual and educational exchange between African and Arab peoples.
Our efforts and activities will focus on raising substantively the visibility of our Institute and Implementing its mission and objectives, which aim to deepen mutual understanding leading to Africa-Arab rapprochement and to strengthen the role of culture and arts as a bridge for dialogue and integration between the Arab and African regions.
Our actions will embody our steadfast belief that the convergence of thought, education, and knowledge constitutes the fundamental guarantee for the progress, prosperity, understanding, and cooperation among peoples.
We look forward to working in cooperation and coordination with all African and Arab countries and in partnership with various organisations and institutions concerned with cultural affairs and convergence between the peoples of the two regions, in order to contribute to shaping a brighter future for our coming generations.
